What’s Going On at Our Local USPS Post Office?
Earlier today, I spoke directly with the local postmaster, who shared some eye-opening news:
- Their processing facilities have been relocated, adding complexity to their operations.
- They’re operating at only 25% of the staff they need—just 100 employees out of the 400 required to keep up with demand.
Despite the best efforts of those hardworking individuals at USPS, these staffing shortages are causing severe delays and disruptions. This is not a reflection of the dedication of the USPS team but rather a logistical challenge far beyond their control.
Our Solution: Jumping to Brown
To combat these issues and ensure your orders arrive safely and on time, we’ve made the decision to temporarily switch to UPS as our exclusive shipping provider for the remainder of the holiday season.
UPS, affectionately known as “Brown,” has a strong reputation for reliability, especially during the holiday rush. With their robust infrastructure and consistent delivery times, we’re confident this change will help us maintain the level of service you’ve come to expect from Bedlam Beard Co.

- Improved Delivery Times: UPS’s ability to handle high volumes ensures your package gets where it needs to go without unnecessary delays.

Shipping Deadlines for Holiday Delivery
To make sure your gifts arrive by Christmas, place your orders no later than:
- UPS Ground: December 15
- UPS 3 Day Select: December 19

These deadlines are based on UPS’s recommended shipping schedules for 2024.
